For years I have been wondering where DJ Shadow got this sample. I would do a search, give up, come back 6 months or a year later, try again, give up, come back and like that. Surely I had not been as thorough as some, but at some point, you have to move on.

So today, I was reminded of Dr. Neptunes Delicious Elixir (that’s another story) and thought I would give the search another shot. (Lately, I have had too much time on my hands–it’s outrageous.)

The stars aligned and I was able to divine the right combination of words to enter in the unforgiving search box, thereby discovering the single bit of elusive information: The Aurora Encounter. It was a post by Kimble14 that gave me the key, then once I had it, it seemed that the information was everywhere: Tribe, Wikipedia, YouTube–everywhere).

Sometimes, it’s just like that, isn’t it?

Would someone please share an English translation of the opening lyrics–forget English, does anyone have any lyrics in any language for this song?
