OutKast, “Return of the ‘G’”

!

Dre or Andre Benjamin or Andre 3000 or by any other name, check it:

“Return of the gangster, thanks to them niggas that think y’all soft and say y’all be Gospel rapping, but they be steady clapping when you talk about b!tches and switches, and hoes and clothes and weed, let’s talk about time traveling, rhyme javelin, something mind unraveling, get down!

Return of the gangster, thanks to them niggas that got them kids, that got enough to buy an ounce, but not enough to bounce them kids to the zoo or to the park, so they grow up in the dark, never seeing light so they end up being like your sorry ass…”

This is another one where I wanted to post the whole song. The delivery, alone, is something to behold, and I haven’t even begun with Big Boi:

“Don’t want that, but it comes though, most of the time when you don’t know. Sticking together like flour and water to make that slow dough.”

I mean come on! At some point this weekend, I highly recommend that you stop and listen again to this song. Straight goodness.

(Not to mention the bonus skit at end is one of my favorites.)
