Bun B of UGK on Jay-Z’s “Big Pimpin’”

!

The song selection for this post was determined by chance, through an occurrence of synchronicity, and encouraged by the surprising information thereby revealed. Without going into details, this post goes out to Joseph in Harlem (I couldn’t bring myself to post the video.)

These are just a few of the standouts:

“Go read a book, you illiterate son of a b!tch, and step up your vocab.”

This verse has obvious appeal to the Greasetender. Then there’s:

“You got to pay like you weigh wet with two pairs of clothes on.”

Leave it to the Southerners to bring you something you can see and feel. Then there’s the flow… I’ve just got to rhyme along (I’m right there with you, Joseph.)

The verses by Jay-Z and Pimp C, well, I must leave those for another time (perhaps).

    Let me add this:

    Jay-Z, “Hey Papi”

“I got a resolution, this year I’m playing right. No 6:15 this year, yeah you can stay the night. We can go bowling. It ain’t like before. Can’t y’all see that I’m growing? I was so immature.”

When you know better, well, you know better.

“Sh!t I parts with nothin, ya’ll be frontin, me give me heart to a woman, not for nothing never happen I be forever mackin (opps!)
Heart cold as an assassin , I go no passion, I got no patience and I hate waitin - (and here’s the best part) ho, get your ass in and let’s ride.”
